To help our customers better understand what is involved in the deck refinishing procedure we offer the following step-by-step rundown with pictures to help illustrate (typical deck takes 3-5 days to complete).

Day One

  1. Existing deck surface is pressure washed with commercial 3500 psi cleaner.

   2. Deck surface is prepared. Cracks grinded and caulked. Trouble areas grinded, patched, and filled.

Day Two

  1. Deck checked and cleaned of any debris.
  2. Bonding agent applied (rolled on) to desk surface. Dry time: 1-2 hours.

   3. New deck surface is applied:

  • Paper and tape outer areas
  • Texture shot with hopper gun
  • Texture is knocked down and smoothed out

Day Three

  1. Surface is checked.
  2. Color seal/stain is applied (rolled on)—two coats applied. Dry time is 1-2 hours.
